Apparently there is no evidence of it. Corporate leaders have largely declared that employees returning to their offices is essential for productivity and innovation. That returning to the office en masse fosters creativity and collaboration. However there is a growing consensus among academics that bringing teams back to work together in person may in fact stifle innovation. With many workers now accustomed to the flexibility of remote work pushing staff back into the commuter life and asking them to show up at proscribed times may prove unproductive and inhospitable.

"For some, the office even stifles creativity. As the pandemic eases in the U.S., a few companies seek to reimagine what work might look like."
