From the sixth floor of this 1860 cast-iron building natural light fills the rooms of this classic Soho loft. Ceilings measuring 11-feet 10-inches, grand columns, oversized windows and extraordinary open space characterize this cooperative presently configured as a two-bedrooms, two bath apartment including washer/dryer hookups in the unit. Only two apartments per floor, this western unit faces north and clears the neighboring buildings such that light comes in throughout the day. The building is positioned on the southwest corner of Broadway and Prince Street.

Built by architect John Kellum and originally five stories, the building received a four-story addition in 1893 of cream-colored brick and was declared part of the Soho Cast-Iron Historic District in 1973. Historically used by manufacturers or working artists, the building was converted to a cooperative in 1979 and contains mostly full-floor units. Depicted by artist Thomas Nast in his painting of the Seventh Regiment marching down Broadway, 565 Broadway is an exceptional cast-iron cooperative ideally positioned on a prime corner in Soho.
