400 Fifth Avenue is a new development project of a high-rise commercial hotel and residential tower located at 400 Fifth Avenue, in the heart of Midtown Manhattan (New York) on the North West corner of West 36th Street and Fifth Avenue; two blocks away from the Empire State Building and the New York Public Library. It consists of the construction of a 60-story mixed-use building, with a total gross area of approximately 560,000 sf. The first 16 floors contain a high-end hotel, with 157 hotel rooms, including a grand lobby, restaurant, bars, spa, health club and other amenities. The next 10 floors contain 57 luxury hotel condos. On the residual floors, there are 90 high-end condos. The building has been designed by Gwathmey Siegel & Associates Architects, a New York based internationally acclaimed architectural firm, who's previous projects include the renovation of Guggenheim Museum, the W Hotel Downtown, Astor Place and the Soho Mews. The interior of the project has been designed by DAS Concepts, Inc. A company that has won international acclaim for their work designing the interior of the Four Seasons Hotel in New York City.
