New & Notable This Week
A: I just finished an analysis of new listings that hit the market in the last 7 days, and came up with these apartments that seem like the best value to me. As always, I considered location, raw space, monthly expenses related to asking price, and natural sunlight in trying to find the best deals of the bunch. The rest is up to you.
Just a note. For some reason, as I was browsing this weeks new listings inventory I noticed a lot of very expensive apartments hitting the market; that is, properties asking well over $1000/sft or so. I seriously hope this isn't a new trend!

particularly like this one in park slope... http://www.streeteasy.com/nyc/sale/38477-condo-163-prospect-park-west-park-slope-brooklyn. couldn't sell the thing since august 2006 so they jack the price up 31%. seems like all the "bonus baby" talk has quickly gotten sellers and brokers frothing at the mouth once again

Re: 139 West 82nd St., 3A - I know there's always square footage inflation, but where do you get 720 sq. ft.? From the floorplan, it looks more like 525.

Them - I take this data from the central system in which the agent with the exclusive enters. No time in the day to backup and confirm every detail of every property for these posts, so I have to assume what the broker listed is accurate.
But I cant argue with your comment. Getting a accurate quote of total square footage on a webad is not so easy.
